SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Cedric Anderson had been married to Karen Elaine Smith just two months when he walked into her classroom at a Southern California elementary school, fatally shot her, and then turned the gun on himself, police said. San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said during a news conference Tuesday that the couple, both 53, had been in a relationship for about four years and that, soon after they married in late January, they separated.
