Did Jennifer Lopez really throw out all of Alex Rodriguez’s “jock outfits” and have her stylist design a new wardrobe for him? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids, but Gossip Cop has the exclusive truth.
An article in the latest issue of Star alleges Lopez has started choosing all of the former MLB star’s outfits because she wants her boyfriend to look more fashionable. A supposed “source” tells the magazine Rodriguez “was still wearing the same jock outfits he’d worn for 30 years,” so the singer tossed “his baggy shirts and dad jeans and had her stylist call in slim-fit suits and tailored coats.”
The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “Jennifer is a style icon. She spends a fortune on designer duds and she wants a guy that looks as good as she does.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a mutual pal of ours and the former Yankees player, who laughed off the tabloid’s claim before assuring us it’s “B.S.”
It should be noted, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has debunked a false rumor surrounding the singer supposedly bossing around her boyfriend.
